WILDLIFE celebrate the power
and grace of the natural world
© Artsvc 2025
There's something primal about sculpting
animals. Unlike portraits, where I capture
individual personality, my wildlife sculptures
explore the archetypal, the essence of "wolf,"
the pure expression of "lion," the timeless
dignity of "gorilla."
I'm drawn to predators and apex species that
embody strength, intelligence, and survival.
The technical challenge is immense: animal
anatomy requires deep study of
musculature, movement, and proportion. A
gorilla's massive shoulders, a lion's explosive
jaw, a wolf's alert ears, every detail matters.
Bronze finishes create surfaces that catch
light like real bronze, while patinas add depth
and age. The verdigris effects suggest
weathered monuments to nature's power.
Each sculpture is a meditation on wildness
and a celebration of forms evolved to
perfection.
